My career includes supporting all kinds of intellectual property based companies. That includes technology-based companies, like software, data, and mapping companies, and copyright-based businesses like national television stations and marketing companies.  I also support IP revenue for non-IP-based companies like a manufacturer of goods who may want to explore the ROI of a patent idea.

I have worked with companies of all sizes from solopreneurs to Fortune 500s! IP laws and contract considerations are the same no matter your company size. What is different at each level are the strategies we may use, your goals as a business leader, and your company's agility timeline.

I work on the business side of IP, the creation of the business model, contracts, and having better customer conversations. Understanding the IP application process may be part of the conversation with my clients, but I do not handle the filings themselves. An example is that a patent attorney would help you file the patent, and then I'd help you create a business model and license around your patent.

Business deals cross state and country lines all the time and I am here to help with those types of items; however, I am not licensed to practice law everywhere so I cannot act as legal counsel in every jurisdiction. This means there may be a time when a lawyer may be ideal for jurisdictional specific questions or specialized areas of law.
